Mandarin Taster – Children (Ages 3–6)

Service Description

This playful 8-week taster course is designed especially for young children aged 3–6 who are new to Mandarin. Lessons are short, engaging, and packed with fun activities to help children learn naturally, just like they would a first language. Your child will: • Build basic vocabulary (family, animals, colours, numbers) • Learn greetings and simple phrases through songs and stories • Develop listening and speaking confidence through play • Explore Chinese culture and festivals in an age-appropriate way • Enjoy fun crafts, puppets, and movement-based learning • Gain a strong foundation for future Mandarin study We focus on natural language acquisition using visual, musical, and tactile activities that work best for this age group. No prior knowledge of Mandarin is needed. Course options: • Small group (2–4 children) – from £15/hour (£120 total) • Private 1-to-1 lessons – £240 total Each lesson is 30 minutes long to match the attention span of younger learners. Taught by Janice, a qualified Mandarin teacher and native speaker with extensive experience teaching young children both in the UK and abroad. Lessons take place in Wigston (LE18) or in nearby areas of South Leicester.
